BIO SKIM 2000 BIOLOGICAL FILTRATION
The "Bio Skim 2000" is perhaps the most convenient and efficient filtration system yet. Not only compact in size, but performance is outstanding. Designed for complete filtration. Mechanical / biological (both aerobic and anaerobic) and chemical, the Bio Skim 2000 does it all. The secret to efficient filtration is to remove dissolved organics before they are sent elsewhere within the system to break down into unwanted pollutants. The Bio Skim 2000 does this very effectively and easily, simply by protein skimming first, thus alleviating load from the biological process. After the water has been skimmed and super saturated with oxygen the water is then drawn through a large surface area of bio media. Because of the unique characteristics of bio media both aerobic and anaerobic processes are achieved. Prior to the water leaving the filter there is ample space available in which to add chemical filtration systems such as carbon and phosphate removers.

The Bio Skim 2000 is a full acrylic construction, allowing the use of ozone in conjunction with the system without a worry.

The installation of the BioSkim-2000 is a very quick basic process. By simply hanging the unit on the outside of the aquarium, and connecting a recommended power head, the BioSkim-2000 is then ready to be started.

There are a variety of sizes available to suit all applications from 10 litres upwards. The following specifications will give you some indication as to filtration capacity and what each unit has to offer.
